THE ORION XS REDEFINES ADAPTIVE DC-DC CHARGING

The Orion XS has been engineered from the ground up to redefine DC-DC, battery-to-battery charging. Ideal for dual-battery setups connected to an intelligent alternator, it ensures top-tier performance and optimal system safety in 12V, 24V, or mixed-voltage systems.

Using engine power to charge your house battery or operating as a stable energy supply, the Orion XS can run at full capacity up to 40°C. It allows you to stay in charge with configurable input and output currents, while the 98,5% efficient aluminium circuit board technology keeps things cool without needing fans.

As an integral part of your Victron system, the Orion XS offers full (remote) monitoring and control capabilities, giving you complete command of your device and system.

12V, 24V, or both

The Orion XS 1400 can be used in a 12V, a 24V, or a mixed-voltage system.

Smart alternator compatibility

With its built-in engine running detection, the Orion XS guarantees the charger only draws power when the engine is running. It also helps retrieving a proper charge current from intelligent alternators as found in Euro 5 & Euro 6 engines.

Adaptive charge algorithm

The Orion XS includes customisable charging algorithms and 8 preset battery modes. For lead acid batteries, these settings ensure optimal absorption times for both shallow and deep discharges.

Low temperature shutdown and input undervoltage protection

To prevent damage of lithium batteries the charger will turn off automatically at low temperatures. It will also shut down when the input voltage drops below a configurable lockout value and restart when the input voltage rises above the restart value, this to protect the input source ie. starter battery from deep discharge.

Comprehensive electronic protection

The protections includes overload, short circuit and excessive temperatures. The charger is protected against over-temperature by reducing the output power when the maximum product temperature is reached.

Bluetooth Smart enabled

Built-in Bluetooth Smart: The wireless solution to change settings, monitor activities and update the Orion XS software using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. Various parameters can be adjusted with the VictronConnect App.

VE.Direct port and DVCC

For a wired connection to a GX device such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, PC or other devices. Enables advanced monitoring, control and diagnostics from anywhere (requires a GX device connected to the internet and VRM Portal) or locally via the Remote Console.

IP65 protection

The Orion XS complies with ingress protection rating IP65. This means the product is dust-tight and protected against heavy rain.
