Description

THIS CUTTING-EDGE FOLDING SOLAR PANEL IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE OUTDOOR COMPANION - GENERATES UP TO 15A PER HOUR!*

If you've been let down by a 200W folding solar panel that barely pushed 5 or 6 amps in full sun, you're not alone. The AllSpark 200W Quad Fold is built to actually deliver, using A-grade monocrystalline shingle cells at 23.5% minimum efficiency that outperform standard cells in the heat and partial shade conditions you'll actually camp in.

Backed by a market leading 5-year warranty and made with premium Japanese ETFE laminate rated for 25+ years of UV exposure, this 200W portable solar panel is designed for our harsh Australian conditions. Compatible with all MPPT solar controllers and DC-DC chargers rated 15A or higher.

*in good solar conditions, using a quality MPPT or DCDC charger

200W Portable Solar Panel Quad Fold AllSpark

Built to Last an Australian Summer

Most cheap panels use cheap laminate that yellows, blisters, and degrades within a few years. The AllSpark 200W uses premium Japanese ETFE laminate - UV stable for 25+ years and resistant to water, salt, and outback dust.

No discolouration. No micro-cracking from thermal expansion. Your panel stays performing long after the budget brands have given up.

200W Portable Solar Panel Quad Fold AllSpark

Works hard in the heat for longer

All solar panels lose efficiency as temperatures climb, but not all panels lose it at the same rate. AllSpark's shingle cell technology delivers a power temperature coefficient of just -0.38%/°C, meaning less output drop in the midday heat than standard cells.

With a -40°C to +60°C operating range and 23.5% cell efficiency, this 200W portable solar panel keeps working when the mercury rises.

200W Portable Solar Panel Quad Fold AllSpark

More Solar Captured. Fewer Points of Failure

Traditional panels use ribbon busbars to connect cells, which are thin metal strips that are prone to breakage and leave gaps that waste active surface area.

AllSpark's shingle cells overlap like roof tiles, with no gaps and no busbars. The result: more wattage from the same physical size, and significantly fewer connection points that could fail in the field.

200W Portable Solar Panel Quad Fold AllSpark

5-Year Warranty. 30-Day Money Back. Zero Compromise.

You're not just buying a solar panel, you're buying reliability when you're 200km from the nearest town.

The AllSpark 200W Quad Fold is backed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. If something's not right, we're here - Australian-based support from people who designed and developed the product.

FAQS

Q: How many amps will the 200W Quad Fold Solar Panel produce?

A: In good solar conditions with a quality MPPT controller, expect 12–15A from the AllSpark 200w folding solar panel. Real-world output depends on sun angle, temperature, and shade — so panels rarely hit their peak rated wattage continuously. That's normal for any solar panel. What matters is consistent, reliable output throughout the day, which is what the shingle cell design and ETFE laminate are engineered to deliver.

Q: What chargers and controllers is this panel compatible with?

A: The 200W Quad Fold is compatible with all DC-DC chargers and MPPT solar controllers rated 15A or higher. It is not designed for PWM controllers - if you're using one, you'll be leaving a significant amount of power on the table regardless of panel quality.

Q: Can I combine this panel with another panel into the same controller?

A: In almost every case, no. When connecting panels together into the same controller, the panels need to be within 1 volt of each other in order to avoid performance issues. This is because your solar controller will treat the panels as a single array, and will reduce all voltages to the lowest voltage panel. So even in full sun, in the middle of the day, your solar harvest will be significantly reduced.

Furthermore, you should never combine portable and fixed panels into the same controller, even if they are within 1 volt of each other. As, again, the controller views both the fixed and portable panels as a single solar array, and this whole array is limited by whatever panel is producing the lowest amount of voltage, so if a roof panel is shaded, or simply significantly reduced if the angle of the sun is such that roof panels are not producing efficiently (as they cannot be angled like a portable panel) your overall solar harvest will be significantly reduced (at best) or even zero (if your roof top panels are in full shade, despite your portable panels being in full sun and angled correctly towards the sun).

Short answer is = each solar array needs its own controller for the best charging performance and longevity of each array.

Q: Will shade affect the whole panel or just the shaded section?

A: The AllSpark 200W is designed with bypass diode protection, which limits the impact of shade to the affected section rather than collapsing output across the whole panel. That said, for the best results, position the panel in full, unobstructed sun and angle it toward the sun rather than laying it flat.

Q: Is this panel waterproof?

A: Yes. The ETFE laminate and construction are water, dust, and salt resistant, making it suitable for beach, outback, and coastal environments. It's not designed for submersion, but it handles rain and damp conditions without issue.

Q: What's the difference between this and a solar blanket?

A: The Quad Fold uses a rigid composite polymer-backed construction, which means it has higher structural integrity. A solar blanket is lighter and more packable but involves more folding stress on the cells over time. If you want a set-and-forget panel that travels well in a padded carry bag, the Quad Fold is the more durable choice, if you're looking for light weight/compact, then the AllSpark 250W Solar Blanket is the most durable solar blanket on the market.

Q: WIll I get full wattage from my panel at all times?

A: The wattage on solar panels is measured in lab conditions on a light table which produces 1000 watts/m2 at 25oC (these are global standard testing conditions (STC)). The amount of power produced by your solar panel in real-life conditions will be dependent on the amount of solar radiation being received by the panel at any given time, the temperature, air quality, angle of sun etc.

You can check your location's solar radiation values online on a number of websites, one example is over here. In general terms, the amount of solar radiation you are receiving at any given time (as a ratio) is an approximation of how much power you should be receiving from your panel. For example, if the radiation is 750 watts/m2 (which is 3/4 of the light table at 1000watts/m2), then you potentially can receive approximately approximately 101.25W out of a 135W panel (3/4 x 135W) at that particular time of the day (assuming your angle to the sun is correct and enivornmental conditions are optimal, ie. there is no shade/cloud, no smoke/haze/pollution, temperature isn't too high (as solar output reduces at higher temperatures) etc).
