MULTI-SOURCE CHARGING

This state-of-the-art charger features dual DC inputs for engine and solar regulation, ensuring your battery bank is powered up both when you're on the move, and when you're stationary. It's perfect for those who need reliable energy whether cruising along the highway or parked under the sun.

ADVANCED SMART CHARGING TECHNOLOGY

The Bulk Charge stage is designed to quickly replenish 80% of your battery by delivering the full-rated output current. This phase ensures that the battery is recharged efficiently and swiftly, restoring most of its capacity in a short amount of time.

After the bulk charging phase, the Absorption Charge mode takes over to steadily charge the remaining 20% of the battery. This stage is crucial for preventing overcharging and ensuring that the battery is fully restored while maintaining its health and longevity.

Finally, the Float Mode is employed to maintain optimal charge levels. It provides a continuous supply of current to any connected loads, ensuring that the battery remains at its best capacity and life is extended as much as possible. What is the purpose of a DCDC charger?

a DCDC chargers purpose is to provide the correct level of charge to your battery in a fast, safe and regulated way. This Enerdrive DCDC charger will take charge from both your alternator or from your solar panels via the in-built MPPT solar controller, this means you are able to charge your batteries on the road while driving, as well as when you're parked up.

What vehicles can this unit be installed into?

This unit is amongst some of the most popular choices when it comes to DCDC charging in vehicles such as 4WD's, Caravans, Camper trailers, boats, or any recreational/commercial vehicle.

Do I need circuit protection for this DCDC charger?

Yes, the size of the circuit breakers will depend if you are applying the unit to a 12V alternator or a 24V alternator.
If you are connecting to a 12V alternator you will need a 40AMP circuit breaker on the input and a 40AMP circuit breaker on the output.
If you are connecting to a 24V alternator you will need a 70AMP circuit breaker on the input and a 40AMP circuit breaker on the output

We recommend the AllSpark Circuit Breaker as it allows you to isolate via the push-to-trip function, and also can be re-set should an overload event occur (without blowing a fuse, which can be costly and inconvenient to replace).

What size battery is this suitable for?

This unit is adjustable from 5 to 50Amps, so will suit any size battery bank. Keep in mind that the larger the battery/bank the slower they will charge, and be sure to check the charging rate on smaller batteries so as not to charge faster than the recommended rate. Also you will need to ensure that your vehicles alternator is able to handle the current draw required.
