Q: What exactly is in this bundle?

A: One Special Edition Pink Camo 2000 lumen head torch, one Special Edition Blue Camo 2000 lumen head torch, and the AllSpark 4 Bar USB LED Light Strip Kit. The light strip kit itself contains four 50cm dual colour light bars, a wireless RF remote, a USB-rechargeable dimmer, a USB-C lead, a splitter, an extension cable, Velcro straps, mounting tabs and a padded carry bag.

Q: Are the two head torches different, apart from the colour?

A: No. Both are the same 2000 lumen head torch with identical output, construction and features. The difference is the Special Edition finish and the cause each one supports. The Pink Camo donates 10% of proceeds to the McGrath Foundation and the Blue Camo donates 10% of proceeds to Beyond Blue.

Q: How does the donation work?

A: Ten per cent of proceeds from each Special Edition head torch goes to its cause. Because this bundle includes one of each, buying it supports both the McGrath Foundation and Beyond Blue.

Q: How long do the head torches last on a charge?

A: Around 3 hours at 1500 lumens, and 6+ hours at 1000 lumens. 1000 lumens is very bright and you are unlikely to need it for long. Our own family runs these at about 50% for 3 to 5 days of camping without recharging.

Q: What powers the light bars?

A: The bars run on 5V DC through a USB-C connection, so any 12V system with a USB-C outlet, a power bank or a jump starter will run them. The 2m USB-C to DC lead is included. Current draw is very low, so they will not flatten your batteries overnight.

Q: Can I use everything in the rain?

A: Yes. The head torches are IPX6 rated and the light bars are IP65 rated, so both are fine in heavy rain. Neither is designed for total immersion.

Q: What is the red light for?

A: White light attracts insects at night. The red mode on both the torches and the light bars gives you enough light to cook, eat, read or walk around camp without pulling in every bug nearby, and without ruining anyone's night vision.

Q: Where can I mount the light bars?

A: Velcro straps and mounting tabs are included, so they attach to awnings, canopies, tents, roof rails and canvas. The bars are 50cm each and the kit includes a splitter and extension cable so you can spread them across a wider area from one power point.

Q: Can I replace the head torch battery?

A: Yes. Each torch uses a single 18650 Li-ion cell that is removable and replaceable, so the torch does not become disposable when the battery eventually ages out.
