DCDC Charger Wiring Kit - Start battery to Anderson plug (Ignition protected) | AllSpark

This Pre-terminated wiring kit is an excellent power supply option for your AllSpark "THE GRID" portable power station for power from the start battery to THE GRID alternator input or other DCDC charger in the rear of your vehicle with anderson plug inputs.  It can also be used for an anderson plug feed to your caravan or camper where 4B&S cable is required to help overcome voltage drop.

It includes the following (with instructions):

1. Connect 500mm 4B&S red (M8) to the start battery positive; the other end (M6) to the 70A circuit breaker (battery side).
2. Connect 500mm 4B&S red (M6) from the circuit breaker (load side) to the 100A relay terminal 30.
3. Connect 5m 4B&S red (M6) from relay terminal 87 to the Anderson plug (+) at the charger end.
4. Connect one end of the 2m 4B&S black to a chassis earth (M8); the other end to the Anderson plug (−).
5. 6mm black from relay terminal 85 to a sound body / chassis earth. Fused 6mm red from relay terminal 86 to a 12V ignition source (locate in the fuse box or engine bay).
6. The ignition-controlled relay is for vehicles with smart alternators, to isolate the DCDC charger feed when the vehicle is turned off, without the need to run
an ignition wire all the way to the DCDC charger Ign terminal. To enable the low-voltage function on the DCDC, you will also need a jumper wire from the Ign
terminal to the DCDC input +. This ensures the charger can only turn on when power is available from the source at the same time as activating low-voltage mode.
